Jersey born and raised... I am still in central Jersey.
I have worn many hats in my day, but really enjoy entertaining the
most. I have been a stand up comic working on and off over the last 15
years.
Mike and I started, Football with the Fat Guys, immediately after
graduating Connecticut School of Broadcasting in the fall of '06.
Football with the Fat Guys was only supposed to be a demo show for us
to practice and gain experience in broadcasting. But after doing one
season, It has become my favorite thing to do. Mike has become a close
friend and the show is crazy fun for me at this point.
My favorite team in the NFL is the Eagles. You wonder, how could this
be, growin' up in Central Jersey? Well, I guess it's a few things. My
family wasn't really into sports so I was left to decide what team to
root for as a kid. I went around the league... I was into the
Revolutionary War history, so... Patriots. Then there was my want to
be a marine biologist...yep...Dolphins. Then my over whelming need to
look up U.S. history as a young teen, I fell in love with
Philadelphia, and when I started watching football in my middle teens,
the Eagles were my choice. But why not the Giants or the Jets? They
play in NJ right? I should root for them...right? NO.... not at all.
No Way. I see it like this, Living in Jersey and rooting for 2 New
York teams that play in Jersey and say they are from New York is like
having a hot wife and she lives with the guy down the street, but, she
is still claims to be your wife. If I were a New Yorker, I'd only root
for the Bills. Which I know right now is a bit tough to do... but if
you are loyal to true New York team... just sayin'.
As far as other sports... I am just a plain up football fan. Love
watching college football and even an occasional high school game. I
even check out the few different women's leagues out there, some are
more legit than others... but I watch.
Can't handle watching baseball on tv. Actually, I kind of can not root
for any team at all... I can not watch a sport where you can have a
26+ games losing streak and still manage to make the playoffs. I do
like going to the occasional minor league, local games... The Lakewood
Blue Claws or the Trenton Thunder.
Not much of a hockey or basketball fan... though I tend to watch
during the play-offs.
Hope you all enjoy the show as much as I do! |
How did I get started with Football with the Fat Guys? Well, Jimmy
came to me and said, “I want to start a show about Football, and
Food.” The rest as they say is history.
Football with the Fat Guys was
my first soirée into the broadcasting industry and continues to be my
favorite. I would say I bring a somewhat fiery perspective to the
show. In layman's terms, I scream and yell, and then Jimmy
tries….tries talking sense into me.
Aside from co-hosting, I also
handle most of the technical stuff, booking guests, etc.
When I’m not playing with this show, I also work at a Philadelphia
radio station where I host a sports talk show, call play by play for
football, hockey, basketball, and baseball, engineer remote
broadcasts, and fight crime in my spare time.
Outside of the broadcast
world, I also am a hockey goaltender (I’m the one who makes sure Jamie
doesn’t score). I also play pickup football and basketball with the
friends and family, and dominate the family Turkey Day Football game.
Unlike Steve Smith, I’ve yet to injure myself in one of those game. I
also enjoy the occasional brew and a good meal as well.
If you’re interested in any other opinions/random thoughts of mine,
check beck through the season. I’ll be updating my bio through the
year with video and written blogs and all sorts of other cool stuff.
Go Panthers, yeah that’s right, Panthers!! |

I’m a Philadelphia native, hailing from amid the chaos
called the 80's. I managed to escape relatively unscathed, with the
exception of a lingering tendancy towards electronic music. As a
professional "tinker-er" I function as general producer/ fire fighter
for any mess these guys might make.
When not producing Football with the Fat Guys, I produce and call
color commentary for The University of Pennsylvania's Penn Quakers. I
play left wing forward ice hockey (Mike can’t stop a puck to save his
life), rock out on the drums, and illustrate funny pictures.
Check back this year as I back pack and blog through Ireland and the
UK for the view from across te pond. |
